關於超快光電實驗室

Ultrafast Photonics Laboratory aims to research the generation, measurement, control, and application of femtosecond light pulses in fields such as physics, chemistry, materials, and biology, with the goal of exploring the ultimate limits and unknown frontiers of engineering.

超快光電實驗室,旨在研究飛秒光脈衝的產生、量測、操控、以及其在物理、化學、材料、生物等方面之應用,冀以探索工程的極致與未知的邊疆。

Our Vision

我們的宗旨

Ultrafast lasers in general are sources of light with pulse widths shorter than one nanosecond (1 nanosecond (ns) = 10-9 seconds). Among these, femtosecond (fs) pulse, with a duration of 10-15 seconds, is the shortest time scale currently controllable by humans. With their ultrahigh temporal resolution (~10-15 seconds), ultrahigh bandwidth (1014 hertz), and ultrahigh peak power (1015 watts), femtosecond pulses can be used to observe transient molecular dynamics, support ultrahigh fiber optic communication bandwidths, and even overcome the fundamental atomic force of atoms, allowing for the exploration of previously unknown physical phenomena.

廣義的超快雷射光源(Ultrafast laser sources)是指雷射脈衝在時間上的寬度小於 1 奈秒的光源 (1 奈秒 (nanosecond, ns) = 10-9 秒)。而其中,是迄今人類所能有效控制的最小時間尺度 (1 飛秒 (femtosecond, fs) = 10-15 秒)。由於飛秒脈衝具有超高時間解析度(~10-15 seconds)、超大頻寬(1014 hertz)、及超高尖峰功率(1015 watt)等特性,因此可用來觀測分子瞬間的動態、支援超大光纖通訊頻寬、甚至突破原子基本引力,從而探討前所未知的物理現象。

Ultrafast transient absorption measurment
超快瞬態吸收光譜量測
With the self-developed ultrashort pulse laser system (spectral range 550 nm ~ 1300 nm), we are able to conduct transient absorption spectroscopic measurements with super-high temporal resolution (> 3 fs). and study the ultrafast photonic dynamics of different materials and devices.
透過本實驗室自行開發之極短脈衝光源系統(頻譜範圍為 550 nm ~ 1300 nm),我們能使用 > 3 飛秒之雷射脈衝量測超高時間解析度之瞬態吸收光譜,藉以幫助了解材料或元件之超快光電特性。
Ultrafast photoluminescence measurement
超快螢光光譜量測
We are also committed to building an ultrafast photoluminescent spectroscopic measurement system. The system will have a tempral resolution of about 120 fs and a time window of 2 ns. The excitation wavelength is now at 515 nm (SHG), but 343 nm (THG) will be available soon. The ultrafast emission properties of different materials and devices will then be captured and recorded by such system.
我們亦致力於搭建超快瞬態螢光光譜量測系統。該系統將擁有大約 120 飛秒之時間解析度與 2 奈秒之時間量測窗口。目前的激發波長在 515 奈米 (二倍頻),近期將會開發出 343 奈米激發光源 (三倍頻)。材料與元件之超快放光特性將得以透過該系統而被捕捉並記錄下來。
